Who We Are
Flare Preparedness (flarepreparedness.com) is an educational website about solar storm and EMP preparedness.
Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name and email address if you contact us. Like most websites, we also automatically collect limited technical data — browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location — through cookies and our hosting platform (Wix) for analytics and site functionality.
Cookies
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for security, site functionality and analytics. Analytics should not be assumed to be anonymous. Retailer sites linked from this website may use their own referral and tracking technologies. Use available cookie controls or your browser settings to manage cookies.
Affiliate Links
We participate in affiliate programs. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may use cookies to track referrals; their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate and improve the site and respond to inquiries. Newsletter updates are optional and can be unsubscribed from. The printable checklist is available without signing up. Our household calculators process entries in your browser; the live dashboard requests data from NOAA, whose servers receive normal connection information. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that operate the site (such as Wix, our hosting platform) and as required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will honor verified requests.
Do Not Track
Browser privacy signals are handled by Wix and integrated services according to their supported capabilities. Do not assume a Do Not Track setting disables all data collection; use available cookie controls and your browser settings. Contact us with questions about your information.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
